David Turner

David Turner was named Senior Vice President, Finance for the Thomson Corporation in October of 2005. In his role, Mr. Turner is responsible for the Corporation’s accounting, reporting, control and compliance functions.

Mr. Turner joined Thomson Financial in September 2001 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Thomson Financial, he worked for Reuters from 1991 to 2001, first as the CFO of its United Kingdom and Ireland operations and then as CFO of Reuters America, Reuters Information division and lastly Reuterspace. Before working at Reuters, he worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers in London from 1982 to 1991.

He is a member of the Board of trustees of the Intrepid Museum in New York City, is co-chairman of the Fleet Week Gala and the Intrepid Salute to Freedom, a board member of the Fisher Center for Alzheimers Research and a board member of Community Centers Incorporated, a Greenwich, Connecticut, based charity assisting the underprivileged community.

David holds a BSc (Honors) in Economics from St. Andrews University in Scotland.
