- The Compustat (North America) Database
Their most complete and current database of U.S. and Canadian public companies and indices available today. Includes approximately 10,000 actively traded U.S. companies, 11,000 inactive U.S. companies, 1,100 Canadian companies, 550 ADRs, 1,500 indices including S&P, Dow Jones and Russell 2000
- The Compustat (Global) Database
Objective and authoritative financial and market data on more than 13,000 international companies in more than 80 countries around the world. Includes:
- Compustat Specialty Databases
In addition to the Compustat (North America) and Compustat (Global) databases, Standard & Poor's offers the following specialty databases:
- Compustat (Classic) - Quarterly, non-restated, standardized Compustat (North America) data from 1987 forward.
- Compustat (Bank) - Financial, statistical and market information on the largest and most important banks in the U.S. contains a wide range of fundamental and technical data with 20 years and 48 quarters of history.
- Compustat (Utility) - Financial, statistical and market information on the largest and most important utilities and utility subsidiaries including electric, gas and water. Includes extensive fundamental and technical data with 20 years and 48 quarters of history.
- Compustat (BackData) - Historical annual and quarterly restated Compustat (North America) data for testing models and validating theories. Annual data available from 1950 forward; quarterly data back to 1962.
- Compustat (PDE File) - Market Information on active and/or inactive companies and more than 1,500 industry indices and composites. Research PDE File, which is available through a separate subscription, includes more than 11,000 inactive companies with monthly data back to 1962. Canadian PDE is available in Canadian dollars only.
- Compustat (Quarterly Research File) - Up to 48 quarters of history and up to 132 data items. This database provides data on approximately 6,600 companies that are no longer traded due to acquisition or merger, bankruptcy, leveraged buyout or change of status to a private company.
- Compustat (Corporate Tracker) - Follows company name, SIC, CUSIP, ticker and exchange changes; name history from 1966 forward; SIC and CUSIP history from September 1994; ticker and exchange history from January 1996; one-time, weekly or monthly updates available.
