Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing (BvDEP) is one of Europe’s leading electronic publishers of Business Information AMADEUS is a comprehensive, pan-European database containing financial information on 7 million public and private companies (Alacra currently holds the Amadeus 250,000 company module). AMADEUS combines data from 30 specialist sources with software for searching and analysis.

CONTENT
ACCOUNTS: BvDEP have developed a uniform format that maximizes the availability of financial items across the various countries’ filing regulations, balanced with a realistic representation of European company accounts. The format is applied to all companies to allow rational cross-border searching and analysis. The format comprises 23 balance sheet items 25 profit and loss account items 26 standard ratios Consolidated statements are provided when available. Up to 10 years of information is provided per company
Consolidate Vs Unconsolidated: AMADEUS displays consolidated and unconsolidated accounts when available. Consolidated: means that the subsidiaries have been included in the financials for the parent company. Unconsolidated means that you are only looking at the financials for the company you have specified. Often you can see 2 companies which have exactly the same details. This is not a duplication error please check the consolidation codes and you will find that they are different. The consolidated codes are as follows
C1 Comp. with consolidated accounts only C2/U2 Comp. with both type of accounts U1 Comp. with unconsolidated accounts only LF Comp. with a limited number of financial variables
GENERAL DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION: Official national identity number, address, telephone and fax number, URL and e-mail addresses, legal form, year of incorporation, quoted/unquoted indicator, main exchange, trade description plus primary and secondary industry codes in national code plus NACE, US SIC and NAICS codes, number of employees, board members and officers, auditors, shareholders and subsidiaries. OWNERSHIP: BvDEP have set up an in-house resource to supplement the ownership links provided by the IP’s. BvDEP’s research is unique; analysts use not only published sources but contact companies directly to research their structure.
